Kaba Modern

Kaba Modern is a street dance group established in 1992 by a group of Kababayans at the University of California in Irvine, originally to perform at their Pilipino Culture Night. Since then, the group’s legacy has lived on, first and foremost as a family, embracing different styles and aspects of dance. A 6-person segment of their team competed in MTV’s Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew.

JabbaWockeeZ is an all-male dance crew, created in 2003, originating from San Diego, California. The group gained fame by appearing on America’s Got Talent before winning the MTV hip hop dance reality series, America’s Best Dance Crew in 2008. The crew is known for wearing plain white full-face masks and gloves and synchronized dance moves. Their name is derived from the Lewis Carroll poem Jabberwocky.

Roscoe Umali

Roscoe Umali, a Filipino American rapper from Los Angeles, exploded on the
hip hop scene in 2007 with his hit single, Live It Up, featuring Bobby
Valentino and E40. The song became the number one independent record on the
American rhythmic charts. Roscoe's goal is to become the first commercially
successful Asian hip hop artist in the US. He is currently working on his
debut album under the independent Artisans Music label.
